Letters and postcards written by Major Richard (Dick) Lorraine (part of the drain/sewer escape attempt), Brigadier Edward Grisomond Beaumont 'Gris' Davies Scourfield, Captain Dickie, Captain G P Campbell, F/O Chalaoupka, Lieut J Champ, Captain R Barry, Lieut T Beet and others.
Brigadier Edward Grisomond Beaumont 'Gris' Davies Scourfield escaped Colditz in a handcart but failed to reach the Netherlands and was returned to Oflag IVC.
