A pair of Meissen topographical flower encrusted vases and covers, 19th century, each painted with topographical views of Dresden and Pillnitz Castle with figures on the river in the foreground, the reverse with a bouquet of flowers, the ogee shaped body applied with flower and fruit festoons and modelled with a pair of cherubs, blue cross swords marks and incised model number 2707, 41.5cm, losses
No serious damage or restoration. One vase lower cherub his right toes chipped; the leaf held in his left hand incomplete; flower held in upper cherub?s hand missing. Other vase both posies of flowers held by cherubs chipped and incomplete. Both vases and covers with numerous chips to encrusted foliage; both vases with wear to gilding around neckrims.
