A pair of Japanese porcelain vases - Meiji period (1868-1912), painted in the Kutani palette, of shouldered, ovoid form, painted with a winter scene of ducks on the water, snow falling above, with banded decoration to the neck and a bronze painted diaper band to the foot, signed to the base, 30.5cm high, one broken and restored, the other vase in very good condition, with just a little gilt wear.
