A 19th century Indian 1801 pattern 2nd Model Baker Sword Bayonet, the 23 inch straight edge blade with sharpened back edge to point, the back edge stamped ' Osborn& Gunby' and also stamped '19' with crown above cast brass hilt with single langet, single knuckle guard, brass ribbed grip with securing slot, spring and stud release, together in a black leather and brass mounted scabbard. Note- The Baker sword bayonet was popular with native troops in India and several contractors were given permission by The East India Company to produce versions of the bayonet in India.
