Coins & Tokens - a United States of America ten Dollar gold coloured metal coin, Indian Head beneath thirteen stars, dated 1912, the obverse inverted with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TEN DOLLARS , In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, indistinctly marked yellow metal pendant mount, 18.9g gross purchased from the bullion department of Spinks & Son Ltd, 5-7 King Street, St James, London, 1st December 1977, with receipt

More Information

I think it is gold and a coin but is likely to one of the restrikes made when it was illegal to hold gold in America other than in coin form many ot these were made to circumvent the domestic laws most were made from the same carat of gold as the official issue examples

It is unusual as the obverse is inverted
But as it was purchased from spink and son bullion coin department and has its original purchase receipt I think is fine and is made of gold

But please decide for yourself
