A rare cobalt blue glass miner's lamp with Hailuxu makers etched to glass, approx 25cm, with the introduction of electricity and battery power into the coal mines in 1925, the miner's lamps that were leased were being sent back to manufacturers - at the start of WW2 it was discovered the blue light was undetectable by enemy aircraft, resulting in them being converted and supplied to the ARP
