R.M.S. OLYMPIC: The only known surviving example of the 'Captain's Bowl' made exclusively for R.M.S. Olympic and Titanic by Stuart Crystal in 1911. 8ins. wide x 5¾ins. high. Used as a template for their reproduction run of bowls in 1998, the main difference is the pyramids around the body of the bowl have been hand-cut and are much sharper than the moulded reproductions. A simply stunning piece, one of the rarest pieces of White Star crystal we have ever handled, an identical example to this went down with Titanic.
