A late 19th/early 20th century ventriloquial 'dummy' figure of a young boy: the painted mache head with applied hair with 'hair raising' central strip, brown glass eyes, winking right eye, snarling top lip and open mouth with teeth and water/smoke tube, dressed in grey flannel suit with white collar and black bow tie and matching plus fours, painted mache hands and feet, 76cm high, together in a brown leather Gladstone style bag. (eyes stiff and require attention, right eye cracked general age wear to head , hands and feet). Note - This figure was bought by the vendor's grandfather when, as a young man, he travelled to New Zealand around 1900. *Provenance- By family descent.
