WEST AFRICAN AIRMAILS - SIERRA LEONE FLIGHTS INCLUDING WWII: 1934-44 covers (8) plus G.P.O. letters (2) and a postal notice, inc. 1 April 1936 env registered from Freetown (with 1935 Jubilee set) to UK by the Trajet Dakar to France service. 22 July 1938 env. to Bristol flown on the 1st flight to connect with the German Lufthansa service from Bathurst. 4 Jan 1939 env registered from Freetown to UK carried by the Aeromaritime service to France. 1942 & 1943 envs. from Freetown to USA at the 5/2d rate probably carried by Pan Am on a "Special Mission" flight from Fisherman's Lake to Natal & Miami. 1944 envs (2) at the 1/3d rate flown by BOAC from Sierra Leone to UK.
