Four British art pottery grotesque spoon warmers, late 19th century comprising a Wardle and Co (Washington Works, Hanley) toad, circa 1890-95, modelled standing on three feet, in a light ochre or yellow glaze, impressed 'WARDLE ENGLAND', 16cm high; another two toads, modelled seated with red glaze, possibly Dunmore Pottery (Scotland), 10cm and 14cm high; and a Burmantofts frog, light green, impressed marks including number 1897, 14cm high (4) Condition:Wardle - One leg broken and re-stuck. Now a little bit unsteady on the three feet. Typical crazing to the glaze throughout. Small crack to the rear of the vessel. Burmantofts frog - Extensive damages and repairs. Red toad - larger toad mouth cracked
