Pair of Canton famille rose baluster vases and covers, decorated all over with panels of figures in pavilions and butterflies, birds and flowers, all on a scrolling gilt ground, the shoulders decorated with moulded and applied gilt Chilong dragons contesting the flaming pearl and the dome lids decorated similarly with figures, birds and flowers, topped with recumbent fo dog finials. 42cm high approx. Damage to both necks, one repaired and one with a noticeable large chunk missing. Also other chips and hairline cracks. Wear to gilding in places and some frits and chips to underside of the lids.
