Japanese Wakizashi Sword with single edged blade 520mm in length. Hamon line to blade. Tang is unsigned but with two holes. Black iron Tsuba with gilt decoration. Fittings to the grip are again black with gilt decorations of a group of musicians. Original cloth binding over Shagreen with Menuki in the form of Dragons. Overall length 695mm. Saya is black laquered finish with flecked gilt decoration. The release catch is decorated with gilt and black geese. War Trophy of a member of the RAF who served in the Far East, new to the market.
Some rust pitting to blade near to tip and along the top edge.
