A FIRST WORLD WAR DISTINGUISHED CONDUCT GROUP OF FOUR TO THE MARINE FLEET AUXILLARY. A group of four comprising George V Distinguished Service Medal named to G. Youngs Ch Lg Firemn MMR H.M.S. Mantua, 1914-15 Star to G. Youngs Fmn MFA, War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named to Youngs as Leading Fireman. George Youngs was living in Deptford prior to the War, born in 1882. He is recorded on the 1911 census as a Seaman Fireman. His DSM was Gazetted on the 5th April 1918 for his good work on Escort duties on Convoys aboard Mantua an armed escort ship. Mounted Court style for display with copied research.
