This engraving of Le Coq De Roche Du Perou or Andean Cock of the Rock ( Rupicola peruvianus), also known as Tunki (Quechua) is after the drawing of Jacques Barraband, printed in colour and enhanced by hand. This print is from Histoire naturelle des oiseaux de paradis et des rolliers, suivie de celle des toucans et des barbus (Natural history of birds of paradise and rollers, followed by that of toucans and barbets) by Francois Levaillant and published in Paris by Denné and Perlet 1801-06. .
