A George V 17th Duke of Cambridge's Own Lancers 1891 pattern Light Cavalry sword. Formerly the property Sir Francis Burdett 8th Baronet of Bramcote (1869-1951), maker Henry Wilkinson, London, the straight single edge acid etched blade with crown and 'GRV' cipher over Regimental crest to one side and family crest over the initials 'FB' to the other, numbered '30957' to back of blade, plain three bar guard with single quillon and wire bound fish skin grip, together in a steel scabbard with double suspension loops and brown leather travel case, blade length 88cm, also a photocopy of the corresponding page of Wilkinson's records and research material.
