An 18th century Turkish 18 bore flintlock holster pistol, 18" overall, 2 stage barrel 11" with some engraving at the breech; plain rounded lock with swan neck cock, rainproof pan, and disc cover to the frizzen spring; fullstocked with steel mounts, including bulbous long spur butt cap and wavy scroll and serpent head sideplate; the stock inlaid at a later date with wavy wire work for the bazaar trade. QGC, the metalwork worn but basically good (trigger, ramrod pipe and 3½” of one side of the fore end missing). £120-150
