Provenance: Abbott and Holder Ltd, London. Notes: To celebrate the success of the 1908 Olympics, American millionaire and philanthropist George Kessler (1863-1920) employed Woolls and other theatre scene painters to recreate ancient Athens at his Thames-side house and held a firework-lit regatta and fete.
