France: With SG cat of c£4,000, first issue Ceres Head both on cover of Paris dated 1 June 1852 with imperforate 40c red-orange pair and on-piece of two 15c green/ bluish green with pair of 25c deep blue dated 15 Aug 1850. Cover has ‘Ligne de Calais’ and red London receiver octagonal date 5 June 1852 on reverse. All 4 margin bar one of the 25c which is 3 margin. Black grid and diamond grid cancels.
