A Chinese Imari teapot and cover, 18th century Of ovoid form and decorated with a formal pattern of flowers and foliage in underglaze blue and enamel iron red and gold. 12.5cm high (handle repaired, spout chipped), together with a Chinese blue and white mug, 18th century, of bell form and decorated with bianco-sopra-bianco flowers and butterflies within a dense cobalt blue 'oeil de perdrix' field, 13.5cm high. (2) Provenance:Private Cheshire collection, the property of a gentleman. Woolley & Wallis, Asian Art, 15 November 2017, lot 598. The Cooper Penrose Collection. Condition:Fritting to handle terminal. Pinhole to glaze on the rim edge. Fine faint crazing lines - not disfiguring.
