17th Century or earlier bronze apothecary's mortar with pestle. The heavily patinated bowl, which shows signs of wear and old repair, adorned with three heads seemingly wearing Roman soldier's helmets. The pestle, which is a good match in size, appears to be of the same age. Height of Mortar 7cm, Diameter at top 10cm, length of pestle 15cm.
