A 20 bore percussion holster or duelling pistol, by Knubley, converted from flintlock, originally c 1790, 13½” overall, octagonal barrel 8” with single gold line at breech; signed stepped lock with safety bolt; walnut fullstock, the rounded butt with Egg type chequering; the steel mounts include engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial housing single set trigger (fails to engage), and plain oval escutcheon; the original horn tipped ramrod with iron worm. Basically GC (action AF, hammer an old replacement, the metalwork cleaned bright).
