A pair of large German porcelain models of raptors, late 19th century, each seated upon a tree stump, one looking down at a nest and the other a squirrel, the stumps encrusted with branches, flowers and insects, pseudo gold anchor marks, 37cm and 39cm

CONDITION: Both with typical minor losses to the encrusted branches and flowers, the example with a raptor hunting a squirrel - the raptors tail has been broken off and re-attached with discoloured restoration around the area, there is also a crack across the base, not visible to each side, and the second raptor with a bird nest has some discoloured restoration to a patch on one side of the base with a hairline crack visible underneath.
