Dinky Pre-War 25 Commercial Motor Vehicles Set contained in 1st Series "Dinky Toys" grey marble style box containing 6x 25 Series Lorries all with type 2 black chassis - (1) 25a Wagon in blue with black smooth hubs, (2) 25b Covered Wagon in green, military green tilt, smooth black hubs, (3) 25c Flat Truck in dark green with dark green smooth hubs, (4) 25d Petrol Tank Wagon in dark green, "PETROL" in black, smooth black hubs, (5) 25e Tipping Wagon in stone, smooth black hubs, (6) 25f Market Gardeners Lorry in dark green with smooth black hubs - good to excellent, 2 or 3 have replacement tyres, one wheel comes loose to 25f, 25c has fatigue to hubs (4 models have thin axles, 2 have thick axles) - the box is an amazing survivor being a grey marble print from 1937 in line with the change to the type 2 chassis models with "Meccano Co of America 200 - 5th Avenue - New York" label which is very rare to find, yellow "Commercial Motor Vehicles 25" to end. The box retains bright vibrant colours to the labels but does have some wear, most corners have torn but have been considerately repaired, card divider quite likely to be a replacement. A very seldom seen set.
