A Sevres silver plate mounted porcelain casket, mid 18th century, of shaped waisted form, the hinged cover with an enamelled portrait of a lady, bounded by floral and foliate decoration to a pink ground, painted maker's mark to base, 4.5cm high
The casket and cover shows minor surface wear commensurate with age and use. No obvious chips, cracks, crazing or signs of restoration. The silver mount shows silver polish residue and would benefit from a clean.
