Original antique hand-coloured lithograph of the Common Kestrel (Falco Tinnunculus Japonica) from Fauna Japonica by Philipp Franz von Siebold (1796–1866).

Based on the collections made by Philipp Franz von Siebold and his successor Heinrich Bürger in Japan, Fauna Japonica’s aves volume was authored by the naturalists Coenraad Jacob Temminck and Hermann Schlegel.

Size: approx. 8in x 10in (20cm x 25cm).

The prints are in excellent condition - please inspect the images carefully
