£200 - £300
A RARE 18TH CENTURY SILVER SHOT FLASK. with a shaped body, decorated with a textured plumage and a radiating flower around the steel release button for the hinged cover*, the base with a pull-off cover, unmarked; 3" (7.5cm) long; 1.2ozt *An interesting piece, the amount of shot this flask can hold likely means it was made for recreational use rather than for hunting. The hinged cover would be the measure per-shot (likely for a small gun or pistol) and is designed to be opened, measured & poured with one hand. The pull-off cover on the base would have been used as a scoop to fill the body with shot.
