EPHEMERA, a superbly presented Social and postal History Archive consisting of Letters, Postcards, Legal Documents (indentures, Court Summons, Tax Demands, etc) all in individual sleeves and dating from 1900 to 1960, many personal letters and also forty three items relating to both WWI and WWII, The Wartime correspondence includes an original copy of an Order of the Day from Field Marhall J D P French 2nd November 1914, a Seal of Appointment to Harold Joseph Hyett as a Quartermaster in the Territorial Army, October 1914 with a reproduction signature of King George V, a letter from Buckingham Palace acknowledging George V's Salute of the Guards dated 22nd March 1919 with his rubber stamped signature, several letters from serving personnel in the field and passed by the Censor or awaiting embarkation before 'D Day', there are several letters of sympathy and some Wartime 'circulars', a total of approximately one hundred and forty five pieces of correspondence in this collection
