A Japanese lacquer box and cover of compressed globular form decorated with dragons chasing a flaming pearl, on a deep red ground, 38cms diameter.
There are a couple of chips to the outside rim of the cover, a vertical split to the inside rim of the base, some fading and minor surface scratching, otherwise good overall condition.
