A rare 19th century Hallamshire Rifles Presentation Sword. The blade etched with the HALLAMSHIRE RIFLES device and fine scrollwork with the Victorian Crown. Engraved to the blade it reads: Presented by Ensign Shirley SERGT MAJOR - C. FAIR 2ND W.Y. RIFLES. Blade length 82cms (32.25ins). The hilt is of the Regulation Rifle Volunteer pattern with shagreen grip and twist wire binding, complete with its steel scabbard and chamois leather bag
