From 1929 to 1932 he studied at the Vienna School of Applied Arts with Anton Hanak and from 1932 to 1939 at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts with Anton Hanak and Albert Bechtold. From 1946 he worked as a freelance artist in his parents' house in St. Ruprecht in Villach. The non-conformist outsider, who preferred to work in wood, was friends with Georg Fohn. In front of Ossiach Abbey stands a nine-meter-high oak stele by Jaindl's hand, and in Paternion a monument by Jaindl made of Krastal marble.
