A Victorian burr walnut and rosewood crossbanded break front credenza, with decorative pierced gilt metal frieze and conforming gilt metal acanthus scrolls, rosettes and foliate mounts, the central glazed cabinet flanked by a trellis broken arch panel cupboard to either side and with four acanthus carved columns, all over a plinth base, height 112cm, width 201cm and depth 51cm, some damage.
The back of the credenza has been cut at some point to fit over a skirting board. There are a number of small sections of veneer missing from the crossbanded borders. The glazed panel is OK and all of the gilt metal mounts appear to be present. There is no key.
There are two glass shelves to the central cabinet.
Internal depth of cabinets is 31cm.
The top is straight and is not warped.
