Glass font not cracked but interior thickly-stained with oil; embossed brass label states Jones & Willis Hesperus Star Lamp, (1878 Patent); only two of the triplex wick adjusters connecting with it’s wick; one adjuster marked Hesperus Burner; engraved brass pedestal tarnished but good; a small oval bruise to the black glass plinth at rim, approx. 8x6mm. Glass shade good. One of the brass catches (needed to screw-secure the burner) needs glue to stablise it.
