19THC CHINESE EXPORT LACQUERED BOX. A lacquered box with concave sides, with various panels of gilded figure to the lid, the sides of the box with landscape scenes, birds and other decoration, and with carved wooden Dragon feet. The interior with gilded decoration around the edges of the box and bird motif. Top 21cms by 16.5cms at widest points, 13cms high.
There is a crack to one corner of the lid, various chips around the edges of the lid and wear in places, chips around the hinges and to rim near the lock plate, general wear to the sides in places including the gilding and landscape scenes.
