WW2 Royal Flying Corps Attributed Pilots Wings.
A scarce attributed pair of RFC Pilots wings, made and worn during WW2 by Flying Officer later during WW2 Captain Augustus Harold Padley. The padded pilot wings with RFC embroidered to the centre. Accompanied by medal uniform ribbons, RFC and RAF ties and copper printing plate for calling cards Mr A.H. PADLEY ROYAL AIR FORCE. (6 Items)
Captain Augustus Harold Padley was commissioned into the 7th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment and landed in France on the 14th July 1915. He transferred to the RFC and qualified as a pilot. Remaining with the RAF he resigned his commission in 1926 joining the North Riding Constabulary. He once again volunteered for service during WW2 and was granted a commission in the Royal Artillery Territorial attaining the rank of Captain.
