A good Chinese archaistic white jade snuff bottle, 1780-1850, of flattened flask form, well hollowed and finely carved in relief with archaistic C-shaped scrolls, the neck with a keywork band, on a recessed oval foot, the white stone of good tone with occasional pale russet inclusions, 5.3cm high, gilt copper and malachite stopper
Provenance: The owners parents lived in Hong Kong before 1940 when they purchased this snuff bottle, thence by family descent.
Slight abrasion to the inside edge of the mouth, natural inclusions to the stone, in good condition.
