A good 5 shot 54 bore Webley Patent double action wedge frame percussion revolver, 11" overall, barrel 6¼", the top strap engraved "Webley & Son's Patent", the muzzle, top strap, frame, cylinder and trigger guard with fine quality scroll engraving, the chambers numbered 1 to 5, B'ham proved, with rammer on left side and with chequered walnut grips, the butt cap with scroll and flower engraving. GWO & Near VGC, retaining 85-90% original blued finish; in its original fitted mahogany case with circular brass escutcheon containing plain copper powder flask, single cavity 54 bore brass bullet mould, nipple key and turnscrew with ebony handles, brass mounted ebony cleaning rod, tin of Webley's Patent lubricating bullets for revolvers, with printed label, and tin for percussion caps for Webley's Patent revolvers. A nice complete set, the case lid slightly stained, the lock removed. Accompanied by an apparently contemporary open top leather holster which came with the revolver and which fits it perfectly (some wear and crazing to the leather). £1500-1600
