A George IV period sampler, worked by Elizabeth Wheatley aged eleven years, dated 1810, embroidered with a central motif of Adam and Eve and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, surrounded by numerous native and exotic birds to include a magpie, peacock etc, a stag, a horse, a herd of deer within park railings, within a three-quarter floral border. 42.5 x 30cm.
