A SECOND WORLD WAR AND LATER GROUP OF SIX TO THE COLDSTREAM GUARDS. A group of six comprising a General Service Medal 1918-62 with Palestine clasp named to 5568385 GDSMN F.L. Sawyer C. GDS. 1939-45 and Africa Stars, Defence and War Medals all privately named to F. Sawyer, and an Elizabeth II Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal named to Const. Frank L. Sawyer. Mounted as worn. With helmet plate, an 'Old Colstreamers' badge and others. A hand-coloured photograph of the recipient in uniform, and an album with wooden boards marked 'Jerusalem' containing 133 photographs, the majority with annotations, many with soldiers, including the recipient, in uniform. Also a short bladed knife in white metal scabbard set with 'gems'.
Frank Sawyer joined the Coldstream Guards at the age of 19 on the 29th April 1934. Palestine clasp confirmed to the roll.
