A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER HOT WATER JUG OF BALUSTER FORM, the hinged domed cover with knopped finial, gadrooned rim, scrolled ebonised handle, the lower body repousse decorated with panels of foliate motifs, engraved initials to one cartouche, the other is vacant, stepped gadrooned foot, makers Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1899, height 25cm, 19.76ozt, 614.5 grams (Condition report: the foot rocks very slightly on a level surface, marks are fairly clear, slight gap between top of handle and silver join but in good condition overall)
