A MID 19TH CENTURY GILT SILVER TOPPED ‘UNION SMELLING BOTTLE’ OR DOUBLE PERFUME BOTTLE, originally the tube shaped bottle would have housed perfume to one end and smelling salts to the other. A neat enough size to fit into any small handbag. One end has a screw on top, the other a hinged sprung mechanism top. Dimensions: 14 x 3.5cm.
