A steel barrelled flintlock blunderbuss pistol, c 1780, 11½” overall, 2 stage swamped barrel 6”, with London proofs and maker’s initials; banana shaped lock with unbridled frizzen, signed “Walker”; fullstocked with flat sided rounded butt and plain brass mounts. WO & generally GC (worn overall, lock and barrel have been pitted and cleaned, cock and frizzen replaced). Note: the lock and barrel re-used from an earlier pistol, probably about 1740.
