A German ormolu mounted agate casket, 19th century,
with chased scrolling escutcheon, raised on polished agate ball feet.
14 x 9cm, 7.5cm high.

More Information

A small shallow crack to the left rear corner of cover (does not penetrate through).
The right hand side foot is warped, facing inwards.
The cover hinges are tight and close well.
Some tarnishing to the mounts, commensurate with age.
Natural fissures/faults to the stone on the right and rear plates.
