A Robert Wallace for Martin Brothers jug circa 1885, the stoneware globular jug with carved continuous floral decoration within scrolling acanthus foliage, below a heart decorated neck, glazed in tones of brown and white with blue highlights, incised 'RW Martin & Bros, London & Southall, 8-1885', 18cm high
The jug shows surface wear commensurate with use and age, a minor loss to the glaze of the rim, two small firing cracks to the spout, and a firing cracks to the lower handle terminal, but no obvious chips, cracks, or restoration.
