An English wrought iron back plate, probably mid 17th century. Very similar to English armour examples forged during the English Civil War for the cavalry. With leather riveted straps. 14.6 in (37 cm) height.
Condition report: Wear with age. Oxidisation present and damage to leather straps through natural deterioration.
