ANCIENT MAGNESIA AD MAEANDRUM GOLD STATER - FEATURING EUPHEMOS DEDICATION AND WINGED VICTORY CHARIOT

Ancient Greek Gold Stater originates from Magnesia ad Maeandrum, a prominent Ionian city. Struck during the Classical period, this coin is dedicated to the distinguished magistrate Euphemos, son of Pausanias. The obverse side of the coin presents a finely detailed portrait of a goddess, likely Artemis, adorned with a laurel wreath. The reverse depicts the Winged Victory (Nike) standing triumphantly in a chariot, with horses in motion.
