A 17th century oak back stool, probably Lancashire, the three spherical finials over a scrolled crest and a foliate carved back panel, above the board seat upon block and bobbin turned front legs, united by a barley twist cross stretcher, plain rear legs of square section, 108cm H, seat height 47cm

Historic repairs to the seat underside with evidence of historic woodworm, seat probably later associated.
Bracing bar added to the rear of the back board, general gouges, scuffs and minor splits commensurate with age and use. Minor play in the chair joints.
