A Coalport porcelain twin handled vase and cover, 20th century, of footed ovoid form, the body painted with a landscape reserve depicting Buttermere in the Lake District against a cobalt blue ground, gilt highlights throughout, green printed maker's mark, painted title and fraction mark to base, 25cm high; with a similar larger example with landscape reserves to each side, green printed maker's mark and painted fraction mark to base, 36cm high (2) (at fault)
The Buttermere vase shows a descending hairline crack running from back of the neck down the back of the body terminating at the foot stem. The cover shows an ascending hairline crack. The foot rim shows a small circular flaked loss to the gilt. The handles show some discolouration to the gilt finish.
The taller vase shows evidence of restoration to the rim and to the finial of the cover.
