A late 18th century naval officer’s spadroon, slightly curved, fullered blade 25½”, with narrow back fuller, unusual straight sided brass stirrup hilt, engraved with a fouled anchor on the outer face, fluted ebony grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard with frog stud, the locket engraved in oval “I.
