Rudge Whitworth twinport speedway bike. 1930. In unrestored oily rag condition. Engine No.1930. The Rudge made its first appearance in 1928 and the engine had four valves per cylinder 40 years before they became standard during the early years of dirt track racing. The Rudge ruled the roost before the arrival of the "speedway JAP" set the pattern for the next 30 years. Once the JAP engine had established its superiority, production of the Rudge speedway model ceased in 1933
