Alfred Wallis (1855-1942) - sailing boat with three figures, oil and whitewash on panel, trade label for "Benson, Manchester", verso, 22cm x 35cm, in maple frame, in poor condition.
Evidence of foxing, and frame has been treated for woodworm.
Provenance:
It has been signed Alfred Wallis and is in the artists style, and has come from a local source. The trade label is for a looking glass and picture framer (also a decorator and odd job company)of the period.
